  1. I just completed what is possibly the best Hilton points transfer of all time. I already had 310,000 points from some sign on bonuses, and Amex had the 1:2.8 transfer with Hilton now. So I transfer 40k points over for a new balance of 442,000. Once I finish the 15k spent on my surpass card, I will have the 480,000 points necessary for 4 nights at the Waldorf Astoria Cabo, triggering the 5th free night. And I’ll use the free night certificate for a 6th night free.

And since the Waldorf Astoria in Cabo actually gets about 1¢ per point in redemption, this specific transfer of 40,000 points unlocks 2 nights there or essentially $2,400 in value. 6 cents per point

With a total 6 night free stay valued at about $7,200 🥸

  2. I want the banks to go a step further. I have 5 citi cards, strata premier, 2 custom cash, double cash, and rewards plus. If you are gonna give me a card that links all of them, then remove me having to select what card I want to use and just let me set the categories for each card spend. I would rather have my cards and physically take them out if the alternative was having to go into the app and manually select them every time.

  5. The first thing that comes to mind is: if the cards no longer have a user-facing number, how will online purchases work? I have yet to make a purchase online that didn't involve me typing in my credit card number and security code at some point, even if that was just when signing up for an account. Getting rid of the number breaks "backwards compatibility" in a big way.

  6. Your idea of the Visa app assigning purchases to different cards based on their category is nice but this is honestly something I am not interested in. Apple Pay takes care of all my needs already and I have slimmed my wallet down to just my driver license, debit card, and two credit cards and I only carry the two credit cards incase a place does not take Apple Pay.

Also having no credit card number makes me wonder how payments to credit cards would be made. I prefer, because I had an issue with a credit card pushing my payments to my credit cards with my bank's bill pay service instead of having credit card companies pull their payments.

Also I would not mind getting the Robinhood Gold solid gold credit card.
