I did that twice to my 2008 Dodge Caravan. I won't be doing it again. It made things worse. My slightly rough idle turned into a 3rd cyl misfire.

I got a 2008 scion with 273 k miles , my mechanic add 1 gallon of lacher thinner to a full tank of gasoline ! He drove the car one week, it clean the catalic converter & pass smog ! I will try this next time !

I use 100ml of Flashlube per tank in my common rail diesel. I have peace of mind knowing that the whole fuel systems is being well lubricated. On my motorcycles I use the Lucas upper cylinder lubricant. It definitely keeps the combustion chamber clean on my Harley Davidson.

and the plug was not dirty from "upper cylinder" cleaning, it was oil fouled because all them additives are oil…anybody notice the popping noise from the exhaust

If you use high quality high octane fuel you should not need to use Lucas fuel injection cleaner. It does increase power I have used it a couple of times
