  1. I’m from Kentucky and I have never seen or heard of whatever that thing is that you called the most iconic dish from my home state. Our most iconic dish is fried chicken. While I’m not the biggest fan of KFC, the name itself associates Kentucky with a fried chicken chain that can be found all over the world.

  2. I'm from Alabama never in my days of living would this be Alabamas. I've never had white sauce on my chicken ever! Yall need to re look up what you looked up. And no chicken and waffles, never had it never will. I'm from the hills of Saugahatchee. We don't eat that.

  3. Being from WI I can't argue that cheese curds are big in our state, Yet, while cheese curds are edible they'd only an add-on ingredient to any entree, or just a snack by themselves. I'd rather this video feature a nice bratwurst as WI's iconic food, That would've been a much better choice,

  4. I hate it when the western states have food that is rarely eaten but unique stated as their food. It’s just a classic, “the rural people are stupid” bullshit.

But the hoity toity metropolitan states have the actual real food they eat presented.

  5. Hoosier here, and yes, as someone who grew up in Indy, most restaurants have a pork tenderloin sandwich. It’s common to fold the tenderloin in half and put both halves in your bun if it’s too big

  6. I've lived in California all my 58 years of life, and I cannot stand avocados. I'm sure that there might be maybe five people in the entire state who agree with me.
Fresh oranges unstead, please 🙂 I can eat those all day.

  7. Sonora dog is primarily a Tucson thing, but you can probably get one at your local Arizona hot dog place (assuming you have one). They might even make you one in a SoCal hot dog place like Fab Hot Digs or Pinks, but I can’t confirm.

  8. The buckeye candy for Ohio is absolutely ridiculous. Whoever compiled this video did no research as that candy is not iconic. With a large Germanic historical population I would go with potato salad but there are many other things to choose. These kind of videos give foreigners the wrong impression. 👎👎👎👎👎

  9. Correction: Kansas does not use baby back ribs to smoke. They use side ribs as back ribs do not contain as much fat or connective tissue that SLOWLY breaks down to provide the juicy ending that side ribs produce. KCBS Certified Judge of 25 years

  10. Good idea, terrible execution. It would have been nice if you would have put forth the effort to present the topic in your title. I will have to think twice before clicking on any “Insider Food” videos in the future.
