I have a random question- at my job I cut lots of onions- why don't we take the core out of the onion first and then slice it? you can see at the end you have all the ugly core pieces and I haven't really found an answer? O find that no one wants a core piece in their salad and then when caramelizing onions they don't render down? Sp wouldn't it make sense to take the core out? thank you! – aspiring chef <3
