I have a question. I am a Delhi resident, and my home is in Delhi. However, I’ve come to Bangalore for some work and will be here for the next two months. I applied for a B1/B2 visa last year, but unfortunately, it was rejected.
Now I’m planning to reapply. I’ve heard that starting January 2026, the visa fee may increase to around USD 450. Because of this, I’m thinking of paying the visa fee now and then, once I return to Delhi, taking enough time to carefully fill out and submit my DS-160 form and schedule my appointment.
So my first question is: Can I pay the visa fee before submitting the DS-160 form?
I also have one more question. Last time, my interview was in Delhi. Should I schedule my interview in Delhi again, or would it be better to choose another city this time?
