But you already have to setup a destination wp site. This is already double work.

Looks good but you can't migrate from local site to live server and vica versa
The first few times I used this plugin, it worked flawlessly. But recently, the destination site hasn't changed, although I could see my theme, plugins etc were copied over to the destination site. I reached out to the plugin devs and they told me the plugin doesn't automatically remove any existing files, plugins, or themes on the destination site. It simply copies the source site on top of what's already there. So if the destination site had older plugins or themes installed beforehand, they would remain after the migration unless the site was fully cleaned or reset prior to the process. They said the solution is to start with a clean WordPress install on the destination site to prevent this kind of overlap. Still works, but a bit of a pain to have to do the last step.

I had a migration fail, and I'm not sure why. I got this when I went back to the site it was transferring from, so it might be the issue. Your server is running PHP version 7.1.33 but WordPress 6.8.1 requires at least 7.2.24. I will have to reinstall WordPress and change the PHP version because what files got transfered messed up the site it was going to.

PROS 🟢 It's super easy, fast and does work great while replacing links and making a smooth and functional new website.
CONS 🟡 The destination is not nuked (it does not remove old data). Folders and files from the old website that are not replaced will stay there.

But who usually does migrations this way? How convenient that you are migrating a site from one subdomain to another? Often in real business use you are migrating a site from one hosting provider to another hosting provider. This means the domain can't be live on two different hosts at the same time. So how do you use this plugin? In 100% of the cases I've needed to migrate sites this is always the case.
I always have to comeback to make sure on which site i have to click the migrate 😆

so what, do you install another wordpress into your destination host and click migrate? Will that shift and alter all the databases and stuff?
discovered cpanel wont work without same cpanel ID, that is if you are trying import old wordpress backup archives.
