It's not that US Visa is hard, but tens of lacks of Indians apply each year to get any type of US visa. Competition makes the consulate give to only selected ones. It's India's own problem.

When I went for US visa, there was a nuclear scientist in front of me. He was very anxious as his phd subject may become a concern fo them. Myself with a BTech got the visa, anf the scientist got rejected

US Visa is a priviledge ..not a right.. so it is upto their discretion/whim.. sometimes they give visa to a donkey and sometimes they will reject triple phd Einstien. all upto them.

I went the same way and saw so many people in suits and ties (mind you this was June , heat at it’s peak in Delhi) I thought I was done and I’m not gonna get my Visa. But tbh I wasn’t even asked a single question just handed my I-20 and the VO said your visa is approved you can go all within 30 secs.
