  1. So, all the immigrants are from Iraq!? What about all the Albanians who come over from a country not ravaged by war, but purely to involve themselves in the crime gangs being run by their family and friends. And what about all the other nationalities. And if they’re not getting put in to housing, what about the millions it costs this country to house the in hostels, hotels. What about the benefits they get when indigenous Brits don’t, but the Brits have to pay for those benefits. And the extra pressure on services, NHS, cleaning up their mess, etc., etc. So Wright is quite happy about the way this country has changed beyond all recognition…..😫

  2. The crossings are unlawful as a matter of UK law under section 24 of the Immigration Act 1971 (as amended by the nationality and Borders Act 2022) which makes it a criminal offence to "knowingly arrive… in the United Kingdom without a valid entry clearance". Before 2022 it wasn't an offence if you claimed asylum as soon as you arrived. The Tories changed that. So, it is true that small boat arrivals are illegal, but that leaves open the question of whether they should be illegal or if the law should be returned to the pre-2022 version.

  3. "80 of illegal immigrants have genuine cases" – Most illegal immigrants are coming from Afghanistan – no war there, they have a stable government and they have active tourism now. Syria – no war there, Vietnam – no war there, Eritrea – no war there.

We CAN'T just allow everyone to come here because their current country is undesirable to them and the individuals decide they want to chance it in another country.

That's NOT what asylum is for. Asylum is for the most dire of circumstances. Couple all that with the fact that they have passed through quitea few safe european countries to get here SANS their women and children should tell you everything about them.

  4. Paying traffickers thousands of pounds to enter the UK by non official routes surely cannot be legal
If there are no legal routes that statement alone deems their chosen route illegal and also if there are no legal routes tgey simply should not come, instead claim asylum elsewhere, possibly on any of the multiple safe countries they're already passed through
House building of around 200K would have been fine if net immigration was at 10k or 20k as people repeatedly voted for and governments promised but we've been adding between 1/2 a million and 1 million to the population each year

  5. If you were against the wars in Iraq Afghanistan Syria then you have a right to talk about migration if you supported your “brave soldiers” then this is the aftermath of when you destroy someone country.

  6. You just said private housing Matthew make your mind up. It is not just Iraqis mate so don't try and deviate from the issue. They have arrived in this country without legality and sorry I do not believe that these people are asylum seekers as they have arrived in safe countries where they could claim asylum but choose not to so please explain this
