TOP STORY: Race for Bardghji heats up

Barcelona have joined a swathe of European giants tracking FC Copenhagen starlet Roony Bardghji, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Manchester United, Juventus, Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have all previously been linked with moves for the 18-year-old, and now the reigning LaLiga champions have joined the race.

Bardghji is set to enter the final year of his contract in the summer, and it is said that he has already informed his club of his desire to leave, which could force them to move him on if they want to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

The Sweden youth international has scored 10 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions this season, including the match-winning goal in Copenhagen’s 4-3 Champions League win over Man United in November.

PAPER GOSSIP

– Liverpool are preparing to begin contract talks with left-back Andy Robertson, writes Football Insider. Despite recently being linked with Bayern Munich, it is reported that the Reds aren’t worried that the 29-year-old could be tempted away from the club. They are said to be set to prioritise landing a new manager first, before making Robertson of the first players they secure to new terms.

– Real Betis attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir is expected to leave the club in the summer, reports L’Equipe. Fekir, 30, has struggled to garner regular minutes in the league this season having faced competition from Isco, and it is reported that the LaLiga side are also looking to move him on to strengthen their chances of improving in other areas.

– AC Milan are considering an approach for Real Madrid attacking midfielder Arda Güler, writes Calciomercato. The Rossoneri are believed to be open to making a move that would be similar to their previous deal with Los Blancos for Brahim Díaz, which could see them loan the 19-year-old Turkey international for two years.

– Multiple clubs are tracking Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino, says Ekrem Konur. Manchester City, Arsenal, and Manchester United are reported to be three of five clubs in the Premier League who sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old recently, with Anselmino also said to be on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion.

– Talks are expected to begin soon as AS Roma look to keep hold of forward Paulo Dybala, according to Nicolo Schira. A meeting is reported to be set to take place in a few weeks, with the 30-year-old hoping for a three-year extension that will keep him at the Stadio Olimpico until the summer of 2027.
