There are only enough jobs for the indigenous people..my family have been here since 1880s we build this country from nothing to what you immigrants use today…are family fought in ever war Canada was in. Who are the indigenous people??
In 2021, Canada admitted 405,000 immigrants. That's a lot, right? Well that's 1% of the total population in 2021. Compare that to 1910 ( 286K immigrants, 4.1%), 1911 (331K immigrants, 4.6%), 1912 (375K immigrants, 5.09%) or 1913 (400K immigrants, 5.25%). All of those immigrants built lives here, raised families, worked jobs, started businesses etc. Sadly, xenophobes and nativists said the same things about immigrants 110 years ago as I see commenters here saying in 2024. Probably many of the commenters here are descended from immigrants who came to Canada at that time or other times.
By placing responsibility on the immigrants the video incorrectly identifies WHO is doing the exploiting and benefits from this labour market. Successive federal governments have encouraged and facilitated immigration through different paths such as student visas, and the Temporary Foreign Worker program all for the benefit of business and capital. That is the core constituency of both the federal Liberal and Conservative parties. Allowing lots of immigration keeps competition for jobs high and wages low, that benefits businesses.

We have an enormous flood of immigrants into unskilled jobs leading to homelessness and destitution. Fighting labour shortages is fighting Canadian workers.
The Bible is the moral imperative of humanity. The need for democracy has not been included in the list of 10 commandments. And for a reason. Democracy is not a virtue. This is a mediocre regime for governing human society; other regimes are simply worse and less fair.

Democracy has not helped stop the flood of illegal immigrants crossing the American border without inspection. Democracy did not help to prevent shameful evacuation of the US Army from Afghanistan, war in Ukraine and mega pogrom in Israel on October 7.
America really doesn't need Trump, let alone Biden. America desperately needs General Pinochet. He saved Chile from the Marxists. America needs someone like him to save the country from the disaster of Obama and Soros as well as other woke progressives.
When I fill out the HR questionnaire, I can't find a diversity category that applies to me and that I could benefit from. Since there is no such category, Trudeau's social engineers do not consider me "diverse" enough. I probably need to spend more time in the sun, tan more, grow a beard, go to the mosque regularly and find a girlfriend who wears a hijab. Then I will find a suitable “diversity” category for myself and get a well-paid job, an easy job in the Trudeau government that I have always dreamed of.
My aunt once said “ In Canada they treat dogs better than people”. That was 10 years ago. Today I kind of understood what she meant when I took my dog shopping. We got free treats at two different stores. It was nice to see happy faces and the treats were appreciated. But I couldn’t help but think of what my aunt said. The problem is multinational companies that only care about profit and government s being short sited and remarkably stupid.
Sadly the government offers incentives to subsidize the wages of new Canadians hired, thus giving a financial advantage/incentives for bosses/corporations to hire them over actual citizens. Working a position at Tim Hortons used to be a job for teenagers saving up for college… unfortunately now it's pure adult Durka Durkas. It's not only happening in the fast food industry, but everything from trades to business. Canadians aren't having children because its unaffordable to have kids… we don't want non-Canadians to just replace our culture.

Canada's standard of living is dropping relative to the rest of the world especially the US. Mass immigration lowers GDP per capita by increasing low wage workers without increase elite workers. Number of elite workers you get is limited by completion with other countries. Migration also dilutes the benefits of resource exports and auto manufacturing without significantly increase in sales. Pollution, housing costs and traffic are additional problems caused by immigration.
I'm quite sure we're full. How many more Tim Horton employees does Canada need? Maybe Trudeau thinks we're short on Door-Dash and Skip the Dishes drivers.

The problem is not "too many forks eating from the pie", the pie is HUGE, and the vast majority of it is held capitve by the richest 5% of the population, look around and tell me here isnt an overwhelming amount of work that needs to be done: housing, healthcare, infrastructure, clean energy, etc etc, there is no shortage of work that needs to be done, it's just not profitable for that 5% to invest in it, and so here we are, importing people with precarious immigration situations who are willing to work for less money than you are, and it's not tye fault of the immigrant, it's the fault of the capitalist exploiting them and exploiting you.
