My experience with 221g is I applied from Singapore for a F-1 visa. They refused with a yellow paper for additional social media review as I haven’t listed tt as one of my media. The status was changed to approved the next day but a lot of stress on was there when they gave me the yellow paper and just told me to go home. Lesson is that you really have to remember everything you listed on the form. Hope this helps

My fiancé was given 221g because the divorce decree was not convincing even though it was a certified copy. We recently submitted a Triple Signed or aka an Authenticated copy which is the best we can do. It’s signed and dated by judge as an original and true document. Nothing more I can do as evidence! I got 221g refusal and they kept my passport after asking 12 questions at the window. But after 15 days i receive my passport. They did not stamp a visa. They refused it and send the 214b refusal slip along with the passport.
