Canada is wastage of money
bringing foreign nationals as students to Canada has become a huge and growing industry. what's being sold is not education but essentially an entry point and a pathway to immigration. The numbers have grown exponentially, and the issue has become so visible to the general public that our very own federal government, which incidentally has been promoting the idea of the more the merrier for years, has taken steps to reduce the intake. for the past few days CBC has been running stories with "stakeholders", i.e. those who profit from the inflow, about the "hit" to our reputation globally, which, of course, is just self-serving nonsense. why couldn't CBC profile a recent graduate struggling to find employment who is Canadian? why is this relentless focus on foreign nationals from our national broadcaster? this rot is coming from the very top. change cannot come fast enough.
CBC always twisting the f*cking narrative to suit their AntiCanada agenda. This is not about the international students or what they need. This is about a failing country that needs real leadership to stand up for the citizenry! FJT
when big box merchants hires foreign workers instead of Canadian should be audited by the authority. there's no reason why qualified and willing Canadian can not find jobs here in Canada.
LOL really? $36k spent on a degree for human resources? I spent only $4k to become a plumber and I'm making $140,000 a year in wages, and I don't need anybody to hire me, I put ads on Kijiji and make $300 or $400 in 2 hours fixing basement leaks.
International students are just Cash Cows. Governments usually want them to go home afterwards, unless you are highly talented.

What the hell is a "masters in Human Resources"?
I've been here nearly 7 yrs got a master in psychology. Until now i couldn't get an interview. I still work in a restaurant as a dishpig.
When my parents back home asked me did i get a job as a psychology i said yes. It would break their heart if they ever find out i work as a dishpig in a restaurant since I've been here in Canada

I dont get why students come all the way here for things like hospitality and not a STEM field, or a trade, that we need positions filled in.

Canada just wants the students’ money and Australia is quite similar in this!… Only the U.S. has the jobs and that’s why so many students are using Canada as a stepping stone into the USA.

You came here to study or work? The idea is to study abroad and return with a degree. foreigners are not citizens and free to leave if there is no work. Why stay and complain when its not your country?
Cry me a river. Everybody is struggling no matter what . Canada has too employment agency's all over the place like McDonald's. He's lucky he has a job at all. He should go somewhere else and try his luck.
