  4. I am an American very interested in relocating to Canada. I am not a fan of the polarized politics and rhetoric here. For the past decade, it has become too much. I live on the other side of Lake Huron. I sometimes gaze of the waters…wondering if I should apply. I have a M.A. in Psychology and working on my doctorate in Psychology. I have experience in research, library work and management, and a ton of knowledge in psychology. I am hoping to visit soon.

  8. They must stop welcoming temporary workers because there is no more work and students who enroll in bogus programs to ask for asylum afterwards, and no longer grant tourist visas which are only a roundabout way to request asylum and reduce permanent staff to a maximum of 1000 new people per year

  9. Hey! I’m from the United States and I would like to say this to the Canadians who want to leave their country:

Canadians should move to Finland because Finland is also good at ice hockey, both Canada and Finland are cold-snowy countries, both Finns and Canadians are some of the most well-educated nationalities in the world and finally, Finnish people are good at speaking English as a second language.

Do you agree with me or not?

Only Canadians can reply to this comment!

  10. Why is the government lowering standards and allowing too many students with fake credentials to enter the country? Does anyone know the real number? This is not a competitive market – these students work anywhere, anytime, for any salary, just to apply for PR.

After a few years, they start sponsoring their entire village to come here. Is the government ready to absorb all these communities with all social implications? The second and third-tier schools that turn a blind eye to this issue, focusing only on enrollment and revenue, should be held accountable for the mess they have created and should take responsibility for accommodating all students with fake credentials and remove the pressure on the housing market.

The scholarship mafia creates chaos and others are left to fix the mess.

  11. The official purpose of international students coming to Canada is to study, complete their education, and return to their home countries to contribute to their own societies. After gaining work experience in their own country, they can apply for legal immigration to Canada by going through the entire immigration process.

  12. Many of us, highly qualified Canadians, choose to work in the US because of lack of the opportunities, excessive taxes and low value of our currency in Canada. You have lost some good talent and instead practically let everyone in the world in, Prime Minister. We have fundamental problems in our country which will take tremendous amount of time to fix and we need a completely different leader who focuses on Canada vs the rest of the world.

  13. The system was flawed from the start and needed to be fixed.

It allowed thousands of people to make an appointment to claim asylum at the border without a proper filter.

And worse yet, while it is being checked out they turn them loose in the country – no wonder they arrive in hoards.

That said, CANADA needs to be crystal clear on the criteria for acceptance which currently is a moving target IN CANADA . TRUDEAU is an idiot who is trying to bootlick his way to another term .

  14. What Canada needs to change is government. You are holding every Canadian hostage while you shut down Parliament so YOUR party can save itself from you and the disaster of a mess you leave behind when you finally leave us alone. It will be fantastic to never hear your affected voice again.
