  1. They're so simple it would be strange if it didn't run. The Vair engines were much better more powerful pieces than Beetle motors, especially the Corsa turbo, and parts are easy to get. Some owners even bolted Corvair engines into BMW motorcycles.

  2. YO Rudy, Pro Tip on the brakes….You don't really need to work on them, all they will do is slow you down….I think I see where Matt got optimistic personality! Thanks for the video.

  4. Living in socal in the 60s my dad and brothers had a buggy with corvair engine, they used to run on baha, always looked like fun.(I wasn't born for another 25 years and 5000 miles north lol)

My first car was a 71 beetle, have it and a 67 now, always wanted to build a sand rail, but theres not much reason in Alaska 😂 other than looking cool going waaaayyy too fast to the mall… but between you and Paul at fabrats lately, I might just weld up a frame and try it this summer anyway!

  5. On the carburetor it’s called a spider bridge. I had one on my dune buggy. I think the guys name is Marty Corvair over in city of industry. California look them up. Good luck. Yes definitely have to go for barrel carburetor over a bridge that’ll give you room to place a new air cleaner on top.
