  1. I think Mazda drivers are generally Sarah fans or Sarah fans generally enjoy Mazdas. I have a 2022 premium plus hatch. I would like to see Sarah refurb a rotary rx or a nice vintage Mazda one day.

  2. New to the channel, loved the review, big fan of Mazda. My first Mazda was a 1980 RX7, great great car. I now have a CX30 and love it, great handling and interior is beautiful. This Mazda 3 Turbo really is nice and it must be fun to drive, like most Mazda cars. Fun Review, like the Squid Score

  3. Mazda's are inherently sketchy. Their body roll makes it feel less than confident feeling. I've yet to drive a mazda, I've owned three, that doesn't have loads of body roll which makes it not confidence inspiring. You hit the nail on the head Sarah, it handles like a Mazda for the general masses. Mazda does that well. I don't see this being a highly sought after tuner car because it is missing key things, like LSD. They are attractive and have decent features, are dependable cars… for the most part. My Miata had a rear end failure. But my two Mazda 3s never had issues. I'd recommend a Mazda 3 of specific years (never first year models) for those who want a dependable vehicle that sits lower than an SUV and has decent utility (in the hatch) and is more affordable than an SUV.

  4. Great car, just bummed Mazda ditch the independent rear suspension for that cheap torsional rear setup. Rear handling gets upset when cornering hard and one goes over a crack or an expansion joint. Other than that, can’t beat the styling inside or out.

  5. Here's the messed up part…. As bad as the handling becomes over 50mph., whether it's the sedan or hatchback body style; doesn't matter. All of its competitors (both body styles) fall short in some significant way, shape or form. Mainly in performance or reliability. No, this is not a MazdaSpeed anything! It's too relaxed and laid back. But it's the best option currently out there in the compact class sedan and hatchback in every category that matters.

  6. Still driving my 2011 Mazdaspeed 3 and still getting a big grin every time. The new 3 Turbo seems to have less space, and loads up on the near-luxury stuff. I'd gladly give up all the soft/fuzzy/faux luxury for a proper suspension, sport tuned engine, and a manual. It's lacking that spirit of Zoom-Zoom, that thing that made previous Mazda's fun even if a bit eccentric. Miss that…

  7. At the price point…it needs to be able to hang in there till 8/10ths…especially with such a willing engine..too bad it isn't offered with the n/a engine 6 speed gearbox..

  8. Really awesome detailed review of the great sporty Mazda 3. Just need some extra space in the back of the car. Ok Japanese are short in average : ). Greetings from Greece. New subscriber, Chris

  9. Mazda claims the 2.5t is not available in manual partly because it can't handle the torque, but in the UK you could get the mazda 6 and cx5 with a 2.2 diesel and 6 speed manual. If I remember correctly, it has a bit more torque than the 2.5t
