Nice little chat lads, talking bikes over a couple of beers, nothing better. Look forward to the comparison tests & especially a recap on the Rocket 3.
The new Honda Hornet hornet has 90hp, not 73. You're thinking of the Yamaha CP2 engine which has 72-75hp depending on bike model i.e. MT07. The KTM 790 is back to make it A2 license friendly (47hp restriction, not possible on 890 as would be more than half original power).
Finally……Triumph making bikes worth buying. Unfortunately their dealer network is weak compared to it's Japanese competitors here in the US. Disappointing
Hornet isn’t 70bhp either it’s around 94 bhp 270 degree crank And aren’t they still making the 890 ktm’s The 790 is just a cheaper alternative made in china
Gonna be a fun year for sure. Cheers from Nor-Cal. Since you guys brought up reliability discussing the KTM, I'm new to Ka-Toom riding a 22-890 ADV-S. Prior to that for short term I had a 18-1290 SA-R and for a year and a half prior to that a Pan America Special. If a rider actually rides tons of miles, that is where you find the issues with the modern motorcycles. The Pan Am went from throwing tons of nuisance faults to leaving me stranded multiple times because it wouldn't start or run. 11,+++ miles in a year and a half that should have been 15K if it had been reliable. With other bikes in the garage I was lucky to have other bikes to spread out the miles. I hope the 890 is reliable as I've had to address some stripped threads on the mirrors and the shop had to fix stripped threads on the belly pan on the first service.
Great presentation for the atual new year incoming possibilities, of exciting videos on the Channel! It’s always challenging to think about the new machines that will be star shining this year. But I sincerely hope the Industry can recover, because with all the sad events that in general were brought to our days in 2022, I’m almost praying to see some economic positive reaction of the Markets which have suffered quite a lot in the past recent 2 to 3 years now. Thank you for the positive insights!🤞
Honda actually claims 92 or 93hp for the Hornet and Transalp. So almost the same as an Africa Twin but obviously a lot less torque. That is lot better then the MT-07 and Suzuki.
Really enjoyed the video. Just one criticism however. Try not to talk over each other as much. I can feel the enthusiasm coming from each of you and its great. But it sometimes gets a bit muddled when you are both talking. Congrats on the subscriber list accomplishment as well!
Has the hypermotard 1100 been put back together? Also will the 690 be back on the channel?
You 2 have a great chemistry. Great video too

Keep both of you together for a series of episodes or a weekly sit and drink or road trip or just more of you two. Great chemistry

The Honda hornet has more power then 73bhp. It’s about 90bhp or 67.6kw
What would you pick out of

Kawasaki H2sx
Ducati 1290 multistrada v4
KTM 1290 super duke

Hı, KTM has 790 Duke, 890 Duke GP and 890 Duke R. On the other hand Honda Hornet has 90 bhp.

Just ordered a new street triple r. Do you rate them?
New garage looks amazing, especially with the Chesterfields.
Gonna be a fun year for sure. Cheers from Nor-Cal.

Whoop Whoop! – Hundred Kay, Whoop Whoop! – Hundred Kay, Whoop Whoop! – Hundred Kay, YaaaaaaaaaY !!! 🙂
Well done Chopsy! Keep up the good work and those subscribers will keep rolling in 🙂
Agree with the comment below…Fantic 700 deserves a look(as well as their 450 rally bike)?
I don't see much wrenching taking place in 2023 with those chairs and free flowing beverages in the garage.
Wouldn't the BMW R1200RS be a closer competitor to the Guzzi V100 than the naked R?
A bike to throw into the mix, the fantic caballero 700. Scrambler with MT07 power. That one might be worth a look at. 🙂
Perfect comparison vid the Italian against the German bikes Chops!
How about a group test tho, get all of them to play with, M1000r, Streetfighter, MV Brutale, Superduke Evo and a Tuono?
Very good chops .?are you going to one on harley davidson.
Congrats on 100k!….well deserved!

MT10SP vs M1000R. Does a 40bhp difference matter on the road?
