Beauty News: YSL Beauty deletes all Instagram content in social media stunt | News | Campaign Asia

YSL Beauty has announced it is set for a social media reset, following a five-day blackout on its Instagram account. The luxury beauty brand will be unveiling a new look with all-new content tomorrow (24 February). As part of the stunt, YSL Beauty removed all of its existing Instagram content on 19 February and will not republish it. Today, the brand posted a dramatic, flashing video announcing to its 11.3 million followers that YSL is about to go “over the edge”. After 10 years on social media, YSL Beauty said the aim of its blackout stunt was to drive speculation around what the brand would do next. Following the reset, it aims to create native content in "disruptive ways" to connect with younger audiences. The beauty brand has also launched a Threads account, where it plans ...

Latest Tech: Russia vilifies ‘Hollywood cowboy’ Biden for cursing Putin

“Such boorish statements from the mouth of the head of state of the United States are unlikely to hurt the head of another state, especially President Putin,” he said, Russian media reported. “But it is a huge disgrace for the country itself.” “It is clear that Mr. Biden demonstrates behavior in the style of a Hollywood cowboy for the sake of domestic political interests,” Peskov added. Peskov claimed that Putin never makes insulting statements toward Biden. “If the president of such a country uses such language, it should be shameful,” he said. During a recent interview, Putin said he can’t remember the last time he spoke with the U.S. president, adding that it was sometime before Russia’s February 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine. On the other hand, he pointed out that ...

Just In: Movie Review: Buckle up for a queer road trip caper in Ethan Coen’s spry ‘Drive-Away Dolls’

“Drive-Away Dolls” is, technically speaking, made up of old parts. Its script was written two decades ago, when references to Ralph Nader and Chelsea Clinton’s security detail were current. Its homages are even more vintage, with trippy transitions harkening back to the acid-soaked B-movies of the 1960s. There’s a mysterious, sought-after briefcase, odd couple thugs on the hunt for it and some innocents who find themselves unwittingly entangled in the drama. It is all very familiar, and yet, in the hands of Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke (who co-wrote), this 83-minute road trip caper feels like one of the freshest theatrical offerings of the year.Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan star as Jamie and Marian, best friends and total opposites who...

Latest: Putin tells Tucker Carlson Ukraine war can be ‘over in a few weeks’

Speaking of the goals of what he called the “special military operation” in Ukraine, Putin said they had yet to be achieved, because one of the aims “is de-Nazification.” For the first time, Putin expanded on what he means by that. “This means the prohibition of all kinds of neo-Nazi movements. We have to get rid of those people who maintain this concept and support this practice and try to preserve it,” he said. Asked about when he last spoke to U.S. President Joe Biden, Putin said “I cannot remember when I talked to him,” adding that the two last spoke before the Feb. 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Carlson never mentioned former President Donald Trump by name, but Putin did. “I had such personal relationship with Trump,” he said, adding he also personally liked George W. Bush. ...
