Exclusive: PAM discusses Kuwaitization of govt contracts
KUWAIT: The Public Authority of Manpower (PAM) held a meeting with 30 government agencies to explain the mechanism of Kuwaitization of government contracts. The meeting came with the purpose of encouraging Kuwaiti youth and increasing the percentage of Kuwaiti nationals employed as part of government contracts signed with private companies. The Public Authority of Manpower hosted representatives of the 30 government agencies to present the details of the new regulations issued in a Cabinet decision on October 30, 2023. The decision comes into force in May 2024.The regulations aim to encourage young people to work in the private sector and enhance job security for government contract workers.
