  2. Why I am waiting to file for for the I-485 more than 2.5 years and no end in site how many years or months more. My I -360 petition was approved 2 and half years ago with priority date 0712/2022
and still waiting……. My completion with the R1 visa for 5 years it is coming to an end soon and i have to return to my country for a year then file another R1 visa. As a catechist in the United States how can i leave my students half way into their corse and after a year return to continue. What the immigration needs to do is to eliminate the priority date and after the I-360 is approved you should be abled to file I-485 petition since after you file this petition you are allowed to stay in the united states. The I-485 petition is to register Permanent Resident Or Adjustment of Status.
Once the I-485 petition is filed you do not have to leave the United states and you can still work. People wont mine waiting………..

  3. The U.S. has not completely canceled visa interviews, but it has expanded its visa interview waiver program. For certain nonimmigrant visa applicants, in-person interviews can be waived if they meet specific criteria. These categories include H-1B (specialty occupations), F and M (students), J (exchange visitors), and L visas (intracompany transferees), among others. The waiver program has been extended through 2024, allowing eligible applicants to bypass the interview under certain conditions, such as applying for a visa renewal within 48 months of the previous visa’s expiration.

However, consular officers still have the discretion to require interviews in some cases, and the availability of the waiver may vary by consulate. It’s always a good idea to check with the specific U.S. embassy or consulate you are dealing with for their current requirements .

  4. What a bunch of bullshit. This is fake news people. They are also illegally using the DHS logo. Do not trust any website except for official U.S. government websites which always end in ".gov"
