The truth is , the PhD scholarship in China was in another major and not what I applied for and also the admission from USA came first and I deferred the admission due to the timing (2 weeks before resumption)

Dear sir, my f1 visa got refused in 2007, now I got an opportunity for H1-B visa. While filling ds160 I see a question asking 'have you ever been refused a us visa or been refused admission to the united states. Do I need to mention about my f1 refusal details or it's not required as it's H1B visa and not related to student visa. Also it's been 15 years since it happened, do this history exists?. I have an appointment at the end of the year. To reduce the chances of being refused, I applied by myself and my wife with daughter would apply later in case I get a visa. We live in Canada and the waiting time here is about 2 years.
The question is, if she applies now and has an appointment in 2026 or earlier, will the visa offices see during my interview that she had also applied?
In my application I mentioned her name and date of birth. If I will receive a visa, she will not need to wait too long for her interview.

I originally applied for a b1b2 visa two years ago to attend a conference and now the conference took place before my visa interview.
