Latest: In his last Super Bowl, CBS’ Sean McManus reflects on ‘the ultimate TV drama’

CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus has a bit of trouble recalling the first Super Bowl he ever attended. It may have been 1980 when the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Los Angeles Rams at the Rose Ball, he said during a recent conversation at his office on Manhattan’s West Side. But when you’ve spent much of your life in control rooms and trailers for major sporting events since working as a 12-year-old production assistant at the Jacksonville Open for $25 in cash, it’s hard to keep track. On Sunday, he will oversee the CBS telecast of Super Bowl LVIII, when the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. It will be McManus’s ninth and final trip to the Big Game in the executive role he has held since 1996.McManus, 68, is retiring...

Latest: The Internet Swears By These Mega-Popular Super Bowl Recipes — Here Are The Ones To Try

The process: There are two things that every Super Bowl get-together needs: booze and party dips. This dirty martini dip that I've been seeing all over TikTok combines both of those things. The dip requires just a handful of ingredients: onion, cream cheese, sour cream, gorgonzola cheese, pimento-stuffed olives, and gin or vodka (depending on how you like your martinis, of course). You start by sautéing the onions in some olive oil or butter until they're nicely browned. Chop up some martini olives and marinate them in olive brine, plus gin or vodka. Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and gorgonzola in a food processor (I completely winged the amounts, but I started with a 2:2:1 cream cheese to sour cream to gorgonzola cheese ratio and worked from there to achieve my desired texture). T...

Latest: Jordan Poole was booed off home floor by Wizards fans for worst game yet

Jordan Poole is caught in a season from hell for the hapless Washington Wizards. Not even two years ago, Poole was emerging as a key piece on the Golden State Warriors’ unlikely run to the 2022 championship. Months later, Poole signed a max contract and got punched in the face by teammate Draymond Green. His career hasn’t been the same since. There was some optimism that Poole could enjoy a bounce-back season this year after the trade that sent him to D.C. Poole had shown electric scoring ability at his best with the Warriors, and there would certainly be plenty of shots to go around on a Wizards team just starting a massive rebuild. Well, that hasn’t happened. These days, you only hear about Poole when he’s caught up in viral moments for all the wrong reasons on one of the league’s worst ...
