I moved to Palma 3,5 years ago from holland and noticed that there are many senegalese here, most are street sellers and very friendly. Earlier this year I went travelling to Senegal and spoke with several people and all they had in common was the dream to go to Europe because of the lack of opporunities and work in their own country, they are economic refugees because Senegal is a safe and for African terms a stable country. Here I noticed as well that the people are known to be very friendly (teranga) and their cuisine is also a must try. Compared to other immigrants or 3rd generation from immigrant families, the senegalese are definitely more friendly and hard working, I got the feeling that not much of them end up in criminal activities (unless you count street selling as part of it). They are also good in languages, all senegalese I met here in Palma speak spanish at a decent level, good people
Corruption and greed of leaders in Africa is beyond the comprehension of anyone who has never lived there
😢
This is extreme foolishnesss!!! So when you get to europe you start taking money from the tree? Foools!
Freeloaders
Ignorance is a disease of the mind. Around 2000, a high school friend of mine approached me with this idea of going through Europe through this route. He brought a written map are to transport from Nigeria to North Africa, then to Europe. We just graduated high school a year earlier and I naive. I was about 19 year old then and i was convinced by his idea but did not have the funds, which was about 50,000 naira Nigeria money. The lack of funds prevented me from embarking on this deadly journey then and probably saved my life. I had no idea the dangers involved going through this journey. In 2003, i migrated to US, and am now a US citizen. Looking back now, and watching this video, it is not worth risking life to migrate through such route to Europe. It sicken me watching this, that any normal human would contemplate such idea. But that was me some 20 years ago. My friend made it to Spain but was deported back to Nigeria after serving time in jail for selling drugs, he passed away in Nigeria after a ghastly motor vehicle accident. Life is beautiful and awareness need to be made in countries where people contemplate of using such route to destination they deemed paradise. After more than 20 years in US, I am planning to relocate to out of it due to being there, seen there, done there. No that a life changing experience, but not all that glitter is gold.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi Ra'jiu
is mouhamed still alive pls answer:(
Nice documentary but why call us Sub saharan?
I’m devastated by this documentary. I am bi racial and my African is Mali predominantly and some Senegal , Nigerian. I was lucky enough to be born here my ancestors born here. I was sobbing basically the whole time. Bless all Africans on this journey.
This is illegal recruitment, exploitation and human trafficking. Illegal recruiters are taking advantaged of the miserable situations these people have in their country. This is intolerable and heart-pounding. This has to be stopped.
African government and the UNITED NATIONS must intervene about this unusual migration. African people are dying because of accidents during migration route. This is inhuman.
Going to Europe, to work in de facto slave labour in Italy on tomato plantations, or live under bridges is NOT the answer. This perilous journey has claimed to many lives already – that lost energy could have been used to overthrow the greedy corrupt leaders and improve your own countries.
CONDOMS… sterilisation…. kids dont consent to THIS OK… STOP THE MAKING ENDLESS KIDS TO SUFFER
I must have missed the part where he told them not to come, quite the opposite
So other nations work hard to establish prosperity then leaches come to occupy and benefit from other nations sacrifice and success . Hebrew slaves were taken out of Africa involuntarily. But ironically are now home after much sacrifice of bloodshed and hard work. Africans to stand on their own feet.
I could've enjoyed the documentary the way I have been entertained and educated by your first documentary I watched but to ask must it be phrased as "Deadliest African scenario, Poisoning floods of Africa, Dangerous Roads of Africa … Dangerous etc..
Do your prescription limited to such words about Africa?
There's nothing positive used to describe Africa??
You're actually selling Africa in a very bad image where everything about this continent is dangerous and deadly!
It's not good .
KENYA,Africa.
Europe distabilise countries with their lies and cause wars in those countries and dont want those citizens to come seek refuge in their countries. When gaddaffi was alive there was no crossing as high as these and look at the wars in Drc, iraq , syria, Afghanistan all caused by west interference in those countries with their false sense of democracy. When you distabilise q country either economically or politically these are the repercussions.
The grass is always greener where you water it . West africans are courageous, determined and intelligent breed of human being . They should stop these crossings and focus in making their countries better for future generations. There is nothing in europe or the west just focus in what ever you do in Africa and grow it . Its not an easy task crossing the Mediterranean its takes heart of steel to do it but its time to refocus home and build it .
My question is what will you do in Europe no papers? No qualifications? No money?
They say Africa to Africans
And they go to white country’s 😅
