After filling the new ds-160, do we also need to update it on our appointment portal? because someone said that to do so we would first need to cancel the appointment only after that it could be updated. Is that so? Or can I just carry both DS-160 forms without updating the number for the new one on the appointment portal? Please advise. Thanks!

Me and my spouse have an appointment tomorrow, and she recently received her new passport as the old one was due for expiry in April 2025. Meanwhile , we have updated the passport number in the portion provided, but the DS160 still has the old passport number. So, how do we get the DS160 with the updated passport number? Also, if we submit a new one the application number changes, hence worried if i still need to do it? Pls help, as the appointment is tomorrow morning. Thank you!
