  1. if VO ask me : "What's your purpose visit to US?". Can i answer this based on i write on DS-160: "My wife & I are going to LA and other cities in California on Sep 3rd until Sep 24th for summer holiday. We already book return flight and hotels for those trip". Is this kind of answer categorized too long / too much details? Or should i just say "We're going to holiday to LA & SF on September"

  2. I have more than 10 years of experience filling DS160 forms and advising visa applicants. My point of view about this: What is the purpose of your visit? She did not answer the purpose but location. Correct answer: "The purpose is tourism, I would love to visit New York for 10 days". What do you do for work? She did not answer the question. Correct answer (example): "I am a travel planner and organize group travels to Europe". You should always answer exactly what the visa officer is asking you, then you can briefly elaborate on that answer. The visa officer only has 2 or 3 minutes to decide whether to issue the visa or not and has interviewed dozens of aplicants before, so maybe he is tired and does not like to be rephrasing questions.
