Fewer workers should not mean slower services. If all workers do not work hard and efficiently, it does not matter how many workers you have, it is still not working well. What you need to do is to stop complaining and work faster and harder. Federal job cuts are necessary. Between 2013 and 2023, Canada’s population increased by 15%. However, federal employment increased by 36% but private sector employment grew by just 13%. This widening gap shows the public sector growth is decoupled from demographic realities and does not make sense at all. The inefficiency of most federal departments are simply not acceptable. Don't believe me? Read this short message I found online, "Wait times for Canadian government departments, particularly the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), are highly variable but frequently exceed 30 minutes to over an hour during peak times. While the CRA aims for shorter wait times and uses automated services when queues are full, callers have reported waits of up to 3.5 hours." We do not want any federal employees who just want to work at home and keep demanding rate increase. I have worked with the federal government but the laziness and inefficiency of federal employees shocked me. Federal job cuts are necessary. We do not want lazy federal workers who just want their paycheque and keep draining our federal budget.
