  1. You are a lot more knowledgable than me so I know there is a reason for this but I will ask; I'm in the process of building a new PC for me and a family member will be getting my old PC. I need to transfer everything to my new PC. I was planning to create a system image (not sure if whole system image or just part system) and use a recovery drive to put windows on the system and then use the system image to put everything on the new PC. Why is this not a good idea? Both PC's running windows11, both are 64bit and both new and old using AMD hardware. Thanks.

  2. You made it so complicated honestly! In order to do what you have been doing :
    1. Down load and install on old PC Macrium Reflect software which you can use free for personal use
    2. Hook your HDD from new PC to old PC
    3. BOOT into your old PC, launch Macrium reflect
    4. Clone your HDD from old PC to new PC HDD
    5. Once clone is complete, remove your new PC HDD from old PC and put it back to your NEW PC. Boot your new PC, you should have exactly what you had on your old PC 100%
That is the easiest way to transfer your OS, APPs and all your files without even moving a file location

  3. 2:10 I asked that exact question on another tech channels video and his response was "Did you watch the video?", I'm building a new PC soon and since I'm giving my current PC to somebody I'm keeping the Boot drive in it obviously, but my Storage drive I was planning on just removing it and installing it in my new PC AFTER installing Windows and getting everything up to date etc. Is it as simple as just unplug from current PC, plug into new PC and thats it? Everything should be fine?

  4. Good video. The real shame is that Bill Gates' crew has never yet come up with a ONE COMMAND way to move EVERYTHING from your old CPU/PC to a new one. It should have been done years ago. One USB cable hooked to both PC's, then click "TRANSFER THIS COMPUTER TO NEW ONE" in one move. They never thought of that? Gee, it's so basic, because everybody will need to do it, sooner or later.

  5. 1:06 so all of my stuff is currently on the HDD plugged in via Sata cable. Can I just put that sata cable into my new pc and have all my stuff?

Mostly just worried about some RPG maker games and the sort. I wanna be able to play them again as I can’t find where I got them. They are stuck in my downloads folder. My buddy said if I just tried to plug in my current hdd that they may be security issues on the new one because it’s not the same pc
